Five Triumph TR7 V8s at the start!
Five Triumph TR7 V8s, several in factory colours, will take part in the Tour de Corse Historique from 3 to 10 October 2026. The celebration will be enhanced by the presence of a former Triumph works driver from the period: American John Buffum. A little‑known car, the Triumph TR7 V8 made its official World Rally Championship debut at the 1978 Tour de Corse, with Jean‑Luc Thérier and Tony Pond.

The route for the 26th edition is taking shape
After three days of festivities, the 2026 Tour de Corse Historique will truly get underway on Tuesday, October 6 with a Calvi–Calvi loop. Four days later, the rally will once again stop in the capital of Balagne, where the 13th‑century citadel will, once again, provide a prestigious setting for the final finish. In between, the convoy will pass through Lucciana (Bastia‑Poretta airport), Propriano and Ajaccio, before returning to Calvi on October 10.

BMW in the spotlight in 2026
Launched in March 1986, exactly 40 years ago, the BMW M3 E30 will be the star of the next Tour de Corse Historique, taking place from October 3 to 10, 2026. The destiny of this car remains deeply intertwined with that of the French island.

Big names announced for 2026
Nine months before the start, the 26th Tour de Corse Historique experienced its first major moment last Saturday with the opening of registrations. Among the entrants are Jos Verstappen, Julien Saunier, as well as reigning champions Olivier Capanaccia and Matthieu Fassio. The rally will take place from October 3 to 10.

Capanaccia–Tyran Take Overall Win, Fassio–Olivier Triumph in VHC
Olivier Capanaccia and Mathieu Tyran have claimed victory in the 25th edition of the Tour de Corse Historique. It marks the first overall win for the Porto-Vecchio driver, competing in the rally for the fifth time. In the VHC category, Matthieu Fassio and Hugo Olivier took the win in a Porsche 911, while in Regularity (VHRS), the victory went to Yves Deflandre and Jennifer Hugo, also in a Porsche 911.

Step 4: Capanaccia takes the lead
It's been an intense Tour de Corse Historique 2025 so far, with an incredible storyline as we head into the final leg tomorrow. Olivier Capanaccia and Mathieu Tyran (BMW M3 No. 9) managed to take the lead on a tough Friday. Bertrand Fassio and Jean-François de Montredon (Porsche 911 SC No. 10) are not yet defeated, 3 seconds behind! The two will compete in the final leg on Saturday, with five special stages.

Leg 3: Capanaccia gets closer to Fassio
After three legs and 12 special stages, the same trio is still leading the race as it was yesterday when the cars arrived in Ajaccio. Bertrand Fassio and Jean-François de Montredon (Porsche 911 SC No .10) retain the lead, this time with Olivier Capanaccia and Mathieu Tyran (BMW M3 No. 9) in second after an impressive day. Marc Valliccioni and Christophe Hochet are in third in their BMW M3 No. 10.

Leg 1: Bertrand Fassio takes the lead
The opening day of the 2025 Tour de Corse Historique was sure to be spectacular. The two special stages in Balagne, which were challenging due to their changing road surfaces, meant that drivers had to get into the rhythm right from the start. The Bertrand Fassio/Jean-François de Montredon duo was the most nimble in this game, with their Porsche 911 SC No. 10.
